Uni in Brum?

What does that mean???? Uni in Brum? Well, it's the title of my youngest granddaughter's blog. She is in England attending the University of Birmingham this semester. I think she has done an excellent job writing about her travels so far.. Before Spring break, she had visited Liverpool, Sweden, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Scotland, Finland, Oxford and Ireland.  She hasn't started blogging about her travels on Spring break yet, I think she might have some studying to do!!  During Spring break, she traveled with Sophie, an international student from Alabama, and they met up with some other gals along their travels for a few days now and then. They had a few unfortunate things happen but it didn't seem to slow them down a lot. She has a rather quirky style of writing sometimes so I just have to laugh when I read some of the things but I have enjoyed her travels and pictures...of course, I may be a little partial too!! If you would like to travel with Abby, I know she would love to have you and if you read her blog, could you kindly leave her a comment or two?  She would be so grateful.  Thanks for stopping by today and have a Stitches kind of day....Sew until next time, take care...

"Sew Many Ways" to organize

You really need to visit "Sew Many Ways" blog if you want to know how to organize just about anything. Karen has more ideas than stars in the sky, (well, maybe not quite that many) but she has lots. You can get lost in her blog for days, literally, if you want. Many of her ideas were some of those light bulb moments for me when I thought "why didn't I think of that"?  Well, I don't know exactly but I guess my brain just doesn't work the same way as Karen's.  I hope you will hop over to her blog and check it out, I was totally impressed with her many ideas and tutorials.  You just wait, you will overwhelmed, I'm sure. Let the Blog Tour Begin!!!

Here are some pictures of my favorite Christmas quilt. It is called "Welcome to the North Pole" and is a pattern from "Piece O' Cake" designs. I am seriously thinking about starting a garden blog but just can't decide on a name or if I should really do it. There are some really great ones out there!!!  Maybe it isn't so wise to start a blog this time of year when everything is winding down and soon it will be time to up end the flowers and get ready for winter...blah!!!! I've been reading a lot of garden blogs and have gotten so inspired by them and it is such a good way to keep track of what your flower gardens  looked like and have a great time line to compare with for another year. I'm still contemplating on it so if anyone has any thoughts about it, I would appreciate anything you have to say.  I'm sooo on the fence about it..Help me decide, please!!!!!!! Well, until next time have a great "Stitches" day.

I am the Winner for the March Give-A-Way on the Raspberry Rabbit Blog!!

I cannot believe it!!! But Michelle May informed me that I had won her March Give-a-Way and I won these two beautiful books!! I'm am so excited about these books, everyone who knows me, knows how much I like books too!! They will be a very nice additon to my library and I can't wait to receive them..and rest assured, I will be sharing them with anyone wishing to drool......Please check out Michelle's blog, The Raspberry Rabbits, (http://theraspberryrabbits.blogspot.com)/ it's really a neat blog and she has a free BOM that she is doing for us too! It's cute hand-embroidered heart designs that will make a lovely quilt when we are done with them. And she has rabbits, sometimes they are nice and sometimes they are naughty, naughty!! But cute! Wow, March has been a good month for me.

I won the Quilting Gallery contest for "My Dad, the Sailor" fabric portrait, a couple of weeks ago and just received that book in the mail yesterday. It looks like it's going to be a good read too!!   Where is all this Good Luck coming from???  It's sure is nice, and I would never look a gift-horse in the mouth....have you ever heard that old saying??? On that note, I'm getting out of here because I'm having a very good "Stitches" kind of day and I'm going to make the most of it,,bye for now..
