Please, Say Hello to Priscilla

I would like to introduce you to my buddy, Priscilla. She came to live with me about 30+ years ago. I worked on her all winter the year that I made her. She has been a faithful companion and has sat in the corner of my living room continually and has never complained about it.  So, here is Priscilla, still young in spirit, if not in age...I am linking up with Super Mom-No Cape today again, I hope you will hop on over there and see the rest of the links too. .. Sew until next time, have a Stitches kind of day.....

A Little Progress Here

Here is another picture of my first block and I changed the fabric in the upper left hand side, I like it much better. Notice, the reindeer have their antlers now....And then I have 2 other blocks finished, yeah!!! I think I am going to really like this quilt/wallhanging!!!  I'm linking up again this week with
Super Mom-No Cape on her Vintage Embroidery and Stitchery post.  Skip on over there and check out what others have posted, it's fun!!   Sew until next time, have a Stitches kind of day.............

The Wish Quilt

I was determined to sew something yesterday, just to have the feeling of accomplishment. I needed to re-bond with my sewing machine as it had been weeks since I had sat and sewed anything. In 2012, I think, I started the embroidery blocks on The Wish Quilt, a free pattern so generously offered by Red Brolly. She still has the pattern on her site if you want to save it. It's a very scrappy quilt and I like that look a lot.  I have had the blocks all embroidered for sometime now but there are a few applique pieces still yet to do and I'll do them as I piece each block, that's my plan anyway. So I took the leap and pieced the first block, I'm not sure that I like the heart block so it may get replaced but I'll show you and see what you think about it.  I haven't embroidered the antlers yet either so I guess it isn't officially "done" but I wanted to show it to you anyway. I am open to comments from you so feel free to tell me if there is something I can do to improve the look. Do you like the print fabric that I used on the left side?

I am linking up today with Super Mom-No Cape so hop over there and check out the other links. I always enjoy looking at others projects and wish I had time to do more..

If you look closely at the embroidery, you can see that I have added just a small touch of color. See the yellow stars, the green bow and the black mane on the horse. I have done this on the other blocks also, just my way...Sew until next time, have a Stitches kind of day......................................

And Four More !!

Here are 4 more of my blocks from How Does Your Garden Grow that I have embellished. I am liking the looks of them, although some of the blocks are easier to embellish than others. I hope you enjoy seeing them. I am linking up today with Super Mom-No Cape and Freemotion By the River. So click on these links to see the rest of their links.

I worked on these blocks and a few more over the weekend and now I think I have some tendonitis in my wrist so I best not embellish anymore for a few days. Darn!!!  Sew until next time, I hope you have a Stitches kind of day............................
