Has Anyone Seen This Pattern?

I saw the wallhanging at a quilt show 2 years ago and I have tried many searches to find this pattern or something similar..Has anyone ever seen it? The maker said it was a published pattern, unknown source. I hope someone can help...

I just think this is so neat...Sew until next time, have a Stitches kind of day....and thanks.

More Embroidered Tea Towels, Kitties This Time

Gee, I am surprising myself with another post so soon, it's only been 2 days since the last one but I wanted to show you the other set of embroidered tea towels that I just finished on Saturday for the bridal shower on Sunday (yesterday).  Yesterday, we (7 of us) traveled to Humphrey, NE for Jenna's bridal shower..she and my grandson, Jordan, will be getting married on August 3rd..Jenna's Aunt and cousins hosted the shower and of course, Jenna got many nice gifts. Here are the pictures of the tea towels, and I believe I got the free patterns from the Needlecrafter site again.

On this set I added the corner fabric again but this time I just went straight across the top instead of curving. I learned something from this, it was much easier to tuck the ends of the rick-rack under at the edge of the towel with the curved top. The curved top would be my choice from now on, if I decide to use the fabric. I do think it adds to the towel but I'm wondering what will happen to it, if the towel needs bleaching to take out some stains?  I think Oxy-clean would be my answer for that.  Oh well, I need to get busy here and get the ring-bearer pillow finished this week, (that's my deadline) for the July 6th wedding. It will be here before we know it!!!  Sew until next time, have a Stitches kind of day.........................

Bunny Tea Towels

Do you like hand embroidered tea towels??  I don't think I know anyone that doesn't. I embroidered these and gave them for a shower gift to my grandson's fiance. I know they are a rather old-fashioned type of gift so I put them in a 9x13 woven patriotic basket for presentation..I hoped it would make it more of a "modern" gift!!  I think Jessica really like the gift though....Now I have had "hints" from both daughter's and daughter-in-law  that they would like a set also.. Plus I have 4 more grandsons and 2 granddaughters that will eventually get married, I suppose...I guess I will just have to keep on making them forever.  ;-)  Wow, I don't know just how long it would take to make that many more sets of towels!! I like using the towels that are hemmed on all 4 sides, they seen to be a better quality then the ones that aren't hemmed all around. I added the little corner fabrics and rick-rack and thought it added a lot to the towels too!!

These patterns were free on this website: Needlecrafter.com She has a lot of very nice embroidery patterns on there for free. I'm working on a set of Kitten ones and need to get them finished today, I have another shower tomorrow..I had better get my butt in gear or I won't get them done....Another grandson getting married in August, oh, it's a busy summer for me.....Sew until next time, have a Stitches kind of day...

Norma's Beautiful Flowers

Yesterday, our mini quilt group had a brunch at Norma's house and I just couldn't pass up a good chance to take some more pictures of her beautiful flowers. Norma is an artist, she paints portraits, landscapes and whatever she desires. And her paintings are gorgeous. (Why didn't I take some pictures of them, duh!) I think she is an artist in her garden too. Let's see what you think!! I consider it a very large cottage garden and so pretty!! (click on the pictures to make them larger)

She's Home!!

Here she is coming up the ramp at the airport...I am so grateful she is home after being abroad since the first of January. She went to England to study at the University of Birmingham for a semester.  She had a wonderful experience, loved her flatmates, did a lot of traveling, saw so much and hopefully passed all of her exams!!! I am still hoping she will write more on her blog about her travels and experiences, some good and some not so good.  We all welcomed her home with open arms...
